Private workshops
Craft workshops are a great way to bond with a group of friends, celebrate a big life event, or connect with your co-workers. I can teach as few as four people and as many as 50 or more. If you live near St. Paul, MN, I can bring my supplies to you for an in-person class. Or, if you're far away, I can do an online class via Zoom and mailed kits.

Classes I offer
Chunky knit blanketMake a gorgeous throw blanket using merino wool roving (wool fiber before it’s spun into yarn). You will learn a “table knitting” technique that doesn’t require knitting needles, plus tips and tricks for working with this giant yarn.
Online or in-person Knit pouf pillowIn this beginning knitting class, you will learn to knit in the round with soft wool yarn. Once you finish the cover, you will make a stuffing bag and stuff your pouf with soft filling to make a cushy pillow. Online or in-person |
Crochet rope basketIn this introduction to crochet, students use their fingers to stitch around a wood base, then build the sides with a different stitch. Optional leather handles finish the basket. Available with cotton rope or felted wool rope.
Online or in-person Crochet pet bedLearn how to make giant crochet stitches with your hands, using felted wool yarn. You will turn these stitches into a cozy bed for your favorite pet. Add a Sherpa fleece liner to complete the project.
In-person or online |
Cozy wool wreathUsing wool roving and your fingers instead of a crochet hook, you will crochet around a metal ring to create a beautiful holiday wreath. Hang it from a piece of ribbon, or embellish it with your own decorations. Choose from 10 colors.
Online or in-person Tunisian crochetLearn the unique art of Tunisian crochet, which is like a cross between crochet and weaving that produces a waffle-like texture. Beginners can learn how to make a flat dish cloth or use a two-sided hook to crochet round and two-color objects.

Shibori classes
In the warmer months, when knit and crochet classes slow down a little bit, I like to offer some classes on Shibori folding techniques with indigo dye. These classes are always so fun, as we get to watch beautiful patterns develop after we pull our folded items out of the indigo dye bath. If you have an outdoor space where items can hang to dry, I would love to bring one of these classes to your group.
