Private workshops
Craft workshops are a great way to bond with a group of friends, celebrate a big life event, or connect with your co-workers. I can teach as few as four people and as many as 50 or more. If you live near St. Paul, MN, I can bring my supplies to you for an in-person class. Or, if you're far away, I can do an online class via Zoom and mailed kits.

Classes I offer
Chunky knit blanketMake a gorgeous throw blanket using merino wool roving (wool fiber before it’s spun into yarn). You will learn a “table knitting” technique that doesn’t require knitting needles, plus tips and tricks for working with this giant yarn.
Online or in-person Knit pouf pillowIn this beginning knitting class, you will learn to knit in the round with soft wool yarn. Once you finish the cover, you will make a stuffing bag and stuff your pouf with soft filling to make a cushy pillow. Online or in-person |
Crochet rope basketStudents use their fingers to stitch the base, then build the sides with a different stitch. Optional leather handles finish the basket. Available with white cotton rope or colorful felted wool rope.
Online or in-person Knit your first scarfStart a beginner knitting project that you can actually finish! Learn a basic garter stitch using huge needles and soft merino wool. You can also make your scarf into a double-loop cowl.
In-person or online |
Cozy wool wreathUsing wool roving and your fingers instead of a crochet hook, you will crochet around a metal ring to create a beautiful holiday wreath. Hang it from a piece of ribbon, or embellish it with your own decorations.
Online or in-person Beginning crochetBefore you can tackle any complicated crochet projects, you should know the basics. In this class, you will learn how to use a hook to make single crochet stitches and create simple square projects like a cup cozy, dish cloth or hot pad.

Shibori classes
In the warmer months, when knit and crochet classes slow down a little bit, I like to offer some classes on Shibori folding techniques with indigo dye. These classes are always so fun, as we get to watch beautiful patterns develop after we pull our folded items out of the indigo dye bath. If you have an outdoor space where items can hang to dry, I would love to bring one of these classes to your group.
